G20 Perspectives – A Panel Discussion on Civil Liberties and Global Justice

Weeks after the Toronto G20 security fiasco a diverse group of panelists gathered in Winnipeg at the Millennium Library to examine the responsibility of police and government officials in this event and how to hold them accountable for the violation of civil liberties.

June 26th marks the first anniversary of the Toronto G20 summit.

    Lett claims that we should be thankful because we have a charter of rights and freedoms and other countries don’t… There is being thankful and then being apathetic. Dude we have lost most of those rights on several occasions…don’t you think you should fight to maintain what we have? Freedom doesn’t come for free.
